IMM CPD
Founded by David Lintonbon and Emily Ho, who are based in both Brockley & Marylebone. Between them they have a combined clinical experience of over 35 years and of over 20 years teaching on both undergraduate and post graduate courses for health and medical professionals. Both have worked in a variety of clinical settings and bring a huge depth of experience and knowledge to the cpd courses.
These courses are ideal for practitioners of Manual Medicine, who are looking to learn new skills which can be used in the clinical setting to enhance their patient treatment and management plans.

Scalp Acupuncture (Level 1)
Learn from Prof. Dr. Tianjun Wang, Principal of the London Academy of Chinese Acupuncture (LACA) with over 35 years experience.

​If you are looking to improve your acupuncture skills and widen your scope of practice, this is the CPD course for you.
​
​​After completion of Level 1 course, participants will understand basic brain knowledge of Chinese medicine and western medicine, the basic skills of SA location, indication and technique, and start to practice SA on your own clinic patients.
Scalp Acupuncture (Level 2)
Learn from Prof. Dr. Tianjun Wang, Principal of the London Academy of Chinese Acupuncture (LACA) with over 35 years experience.

Advanced SA needling, demonstration, and practice and sample scalp acupuncture treatment plans.
Prof. Wang is the Vice President of the Scalp Acupuncture Committee of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS) and the president of the Academy of Scalp Acupuncture UK (ASA), the honorary president of the Chinese Acupuncture and herbal Medicine Alliance UK (CAHMA). He owns TJ Acupuncture Clinic and Brain Care Centre in London. ​​

Scalp Acupuncture (Level 3)
Learn from Prof. Dr. Tianjun Wang, Principal of the London Academy of Chinese Acupuncture (LACA) with over 35 years experience.

After completion of Level 3 course, Practitioners will have consolidated basic and advanced Scalp Acupuncture needling. Combination of SA with other techniques eg electrical acupuncture on SA etc and combination of SA treatments, sample skin and other conditions.
​
Practitioners can further pursue Diploma of Brain Acupuncture with Prof. Dr. Tianjun Wang.​​
Masterclass - Manual Medicine
for TMJ, Headaches & Migraines
Introduction to Manual Medicine for TMJ, Headaches and Migraines Masterclass with Dr Jon Marshall, Manual Medicine Australia, and David Lintonbon DO, will enable practitioners to describe the different types of TMJ, Headaches and Migraines and their underlying causes.
Be able to perform a comprehensive history taking and physical examination for patients presenting with TMJ, Headaches & Migraines, identifying red flags and indications for referral.
Participants will learn how to apply basic manual therapy techniques safely and effectively to manage TMJ, Headache and Migraine symptoms.
Spinal & Peripheral Joint Mobilisation Course - TBA
This course will teach the practitioner how to safely assess and use joint mobilisation techniques to treat a variety of common musculoskeletal conditions.
On this course IMM tutors will guide you through how to deliver joint mobilisations for the entire body.

By the end of this course the practitioner will be able to safely and confidently assess and treat a variety of common spinal and peripheral joint dysfunction using the appropriate mobilisation techniques ie mobilisation to the Occipital Atlanto joint to improve joint function and ease occipital neuralgia.
Spinal & Peripheral Joint Manipulation HVLA Course
This course is suitable if you work with musculoskeletal patients and use manual therapy.
All practitioners are taught accurate Manipulation Techniques through palpation and therefore the identification of joint motion loss, standards of safety and effectiveness together with physiology, anatomy and integrated patient management. Contra-indications will also be covered in detail, along with alternative techniques to manipulation.
IMM tutors will safely teach you how to use Grade 5 manipulation techniques for the pelvis, lumbar, cervical, thoracic spines/ribs inc peripheral techniques for the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. Also hip, knee, ankle & foot.

On completion of the course, you will be able to safely manipulate spinal and peripheral joints.
​
On successful completion you will be awarded a 21-hour CPD Certificate of Competence.
Diagnostic Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (Sonography)Penn. USA
This exciting course will teach Practitioners how to use diagnostic ultrasound (sonography) as a diagnostic tool to pre-assess soft tissue and joint dysfunction prior to the practitioner carrying out a mobilisation/manipulation (HVLA) technique in the clinical setting.

It will also demonstrate the benefits of joint mobilisation/manipulation (HVLA) post treatment eg, shoulder impingement syndrome.
