COURSE REQUIREMENTS

​

COURSE PREREQUISITES – DRY NEEDLING/MEDICAL ACUPUNCTURE COURSE LEVEL 1, 2 & 3

 

Our training courses are open to manual therapists who have a recognised manual therapy qualification, such as the following:
•    Clinical Massage/Sport Massage Therapists
•    Sports Therapists
•    Chiropractors/Students of Chiropractic
•    Kinesiologists/Students of Kinesiology
•    Physiotherapists/Student of Physiotherapy
•    Podiatrists/Students of Podiatry
•    Osteopaths/Students of Osteopathy
•    Any other medical healthcare professional

 

Please contact the IMM team for any clarification on your eligibility or suitability to attend, if you are a practitioner/student with a disability, and you are not sure whether you are qualified to enrol on any of our courses, please do not hesitate in contacting us to discuss your requirements/suitability for the course.

Please note that the prerequisite for our Dry Needling/Medical Acupuncture Level 2 course is successful completion of Beginner Level 1 Dry Needling/Medical Acupuncture course and a minimum of 3 months needling experience.

It is the participants responsibility that they hold current professional indemnity insurance.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY

Please wear appropriate clothing that allows both you and a partner to perform needling techniques on each other.

Every effort is made to teach and practice safe techniques under the supervision of our instructors. Nevertheless, there is always the possibility of injury. By registering and attending Integrated Manual Medicine Ltd (IMM) courses, attendees agree to absolve Integrated Manual Medicine Ltd, the program directors and the instructors of any liability in the event of injury.

Attendees understand that IMM Ltd courses are participatory seminar programs in which all persons attending the courses are expected to practice on each other. This means attendees agree to allow their fellow participants, as well as the workshop instructors, to use acupuncture needles on various muscles throughout their body during the seminars.

​

Attendees understand that although the risk of any serious harm is minimal, there is nevertheless the possibility of injury. Specifically, placing acupuncture needles into the body could possibly result in puncture of an organ such as the lung, the puncture of a vessel (artery or vein), or a nerve injury. Hematomas may occur, and bruising may result. Fainting is also possible.

​

Myofascial cupping also contains minimal risk, nevertheless there is a possibility of injury, burn and physical discomfort. Hematomas and temporary skin discoloration may occur and is an expected outcome of treatment.

​

Attendees understand that the risk of complication, though small, is real. Attendees hereby hold the program directors, Dr David Lintonbon, and class assistants, the preceptors, courses, and Integrated Manual Medicine Ltd harmless for any injury sustained from participating in IMM Ltd programs. Also, attendees hereby hold the program directors, Dr David Lintonbon and class assistants, the preceptors, courses, and Integrated Manual Medicine Ltd harmless for any injury sustained from techniques used in their own practice.

COURSE FEES & PAYMENTS

 

COURSE FEES

​

Generally, course fees for Dry Needing/Medical Acupuncture are £325 for early birds (enrolments booked more than 2 months prior to the commencement of their chosen course).  The standard fee is £350 (enrolments booked less than 2 months prior to course commencement).

​

The course fees for 2-Day Spinal & Peripheral Mobilisation £399; 3-Day Spinal & Peripheral Manipulation £675.

​

These fees may vary in cases where Integrated Manual Medicine Ltd (IMM) offers, for example, shortened courses designed as an introduction or refresher, or courses taught by special guest lecturers. Please refer to the desired course pages.

​

IMM CPD courses are subject to payment in full at the time of booking, which reserves your place on the specific course and ensures your certification is ready for handout on completion. 

​

CURRENCY

The default currency on this website is Pound Sterling.

We accept payments via PayPal and direct bank transfer.

Integrated Manual Medicine Ltd must receive participant complete payment to guarantee the selected course place and is not responsible for additionally incurred bank transfer fees, exchange rate fluctuations, or any other costs associated with transferring funds for payment.

​

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

 

Please understand that due to the nature of our courses, we incur costs far in advance prior to the commencement of each course e.g. venue hire, flights and accommodation. If you cancel your registration 4 weeks or more prior to the commencement of the course, you will be eligible for a refund minus a 10% administrative fee.  Alternatively, you may transfer your registration to another course date at no extra charge within 12 months.

​

If you cancel your registration within 4 weeks of the commencement of the course, you will be unable to receive a refund, but may transfer your registration to another course date within 12 months.

​

In the event of any unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances, Integrated Manual Medicine reserves the right to cancel or postpone a course. If a course is cancelled due to low enrolment, a full refund will be given. If a course is postponed due to unforeseen circumstances or events, Integrated Manual Medicine Ltd will endeavour to re-schedule the course to a suitable later date. Otherwise, participants will receive first preference to places in any of our future equivalent courses. If the aforementioned circumstances occur, Integrated Manual Medicine Ltd will endeavour to contact participants as early as possible.

Please note: Integrated Manual Medicine Ltd is not responsible for any expenses incurred by participant on the course due to cancellation of the course other than the registration fee, e.g. travel costs will not be refunded.
