Spinal & Peripheral Joint Manipulation HVLA Course This comprehensive practical 3-day workshop provide participants with effective, safe, efficient manipulation techniques, which will both complement clinical management and provide relevant up to date research results, attempting to integrate manipulation within a scientific paradigm. The course will equip practitioners with a wide range of manipulation skills and alternatives when manipulation cannot be applied. During this 3-day course you will also learn specific manipulation techniques suitable for you if you use manual therapy in management of patients with musculoskeletal conditions. This course is perfect for practitioners looking to have a complete understanding of the human body and knowing how the health of the joints can affect pain all over the body. Also, how to treat that pain, is essential for any practitioner to know how to be as effective and helpful as possible. COURSE OVERVIEW - 22nd Sept 2024 • Principles of Joint Manipulation • Spinal o Lumbar o Thoracic + Ribs + Diaphragm o Junction areas T/L and L/S COURSE OVERVIEW - 27th October 2024 • Spinal o Pelvis o Sacroiliac Joints o Symphysis Pubis o Cervical Spine o Cervicothoracic Junction + 1st Rib COURSE OVERVIEW - 24th November 2024 • Peripheral o Foot + Ankle o Knee o Hip o Shoulder + Acromioclavicular Joint + Sternoclavicular Joint o Elbow/Wrist/Hand In this course you are going to learn: • How to assess the joints for treatment, and contraindications/red flags. • Gaining key hands-on experience. • Become a specialist for people who have chronic or hard to deal with issues. • Learn the anatomy and physiology of the joints as it relates to local and global pain within the body. Notes • Recommended pre-reading: The Art of HVT E-Book (Amazon); Joint Mobilisation/Manipulation (Susan L Edmond) • Participants are required to complete the 3-day workshop for attainment of a full Spinal & Peripheral 21-hour CPD Certificate of Competence. • This course is NOT suitable for participants who are pregnant. • Prior to attending the workshop, participants are advised to refresh their knowledge of relevant anatomy and physiology.
