Acupuncture for Musculoskeletal Disorders An Integrated Meridian-Based Approach for Manual and Movement Therapists Duration: 2 days (CPD - 14 hours) Start: 8.30 am - 5pm Level: Postgraduate / Advanced Target Audience: Osteopaths Chiropractors Physiotherapists Sports and pain clinic clinicians with acupuncture training Course Overview Musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction often arise from complex interactions between joints, soft tissues, posture, and neuromuscular control. This course teaches clinicians how to use acupuncture points from the 12 Primary Meridians, Conception Vessel (Ren Mai), and Governing Vessel (Du Mai) to address common muscle, ligament, and joint conditions throughout the entire body. Emphasis is placed on functional anatomy, movement patterns, and clinical reasoning, allowing acupuncture to be seamlessly integrated with manual therapy, rehabilitation, and orthopedic care. Learning Outcomes By the end of this course, participants will be able to: Correlate acupuncture meridian pathways with myofascial chains, joint mechanics, and regional anatomy Select acupuncture points to treat muscle, ligament, and joint dysfunction in all body regions Apply Ren Mai and Du Mai points to influence posture, spinal mechanics, and core stability Integrate acupuncture effectively with manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation, and movement re-education Design treatment strategies for acute injuries, overuse syndromes, and chronic musculoskeletal pain Communicate acupuncture treatment rationale clearly within multidisciplinary clinical settings Lecturers Dr. XIAO FANG KLUGER is a highly experienced teacher of acupuncture and moxibustion, with many years of dedicated clinical practice and academic instruction.
